Introduction
Gear cases are the last thing anyone budgets for and the first thing you regret skipping. Analog Cases builds them the way a road crew would, which means moulded shells cut to one specific device rather than a padded sleeve that sort of works for everything.
Three of them arrive at Soundium together. One is a travel bag for a whole rig, and two are single-device shells for the kind of controller you throw in a backpack and then find scratched.
Analog Cases Trakpack Roll, €279
A rolling carry-on and a backpack in one bag. The trolley handle extends from 21 cm to 44.5 cm, and when the airport ends the padded shoulder straps come out of their stow pocket and you carry it. Exterior is 53.3 × 35.6 × 22.9 cm, which is inside the carry-on limit for the major airlines, and the whole thing weighs 3.95 kg empty.
Inside there are 2 padded equipment compartments with velcro foam dividers you move to fit what you own, 6 inner pockets, 5 large outer pockets, and a velvet-lined laptop compartment. There's a USB charging passthrough built into the shell (2 × USB-C and 1 × USB 2.0), so a power bank inside can charge a phone outside. Ballistic nylon, waterproof zippers, shock-resistant base, 4 side compression straps and a water-bottle pocket round it out.
The trade-off is what a bag like this always trades: at 3.95 kg empty it starts heavy, and the wheels and handle eat depth that a plain backpack would have given you as storage.

Analog Cases Glide Case for Novation Launch Control 3, €44
A slim rigid shell cut to the Launch Control 3 and nothing else. Soft velvet lining, a lightweight protective shell, 26 × 16 × 6.5 cm and 330 g, so it adds almost nothing to a bag that's already full. This is the case for the controller that lives in your backpack between the studio and a friend's flat.

Analog Cases PULSE Case for Akai MPC Sample, €54
Same idea, harder shell. Rigid moulded EVA with a ballistic nylon exterior and an extra-soft velvet lining, interior 26.4 × 20.3 × 5.1 cm, which is cut to take the MPC Sample with its cable still attached. There's a proper carry handle on it, so it works as a standalone grab bag rather than only as an insert.

Who It's For
- Producers and DJs who fly with gear and want one bag that clears the sizer
- Anyone carrying a small controller in a backpack that also holds keys
- People who already own the Launch Control 3 or the MPC Sample and want the case built for it, not a sleeve
Who should look elsewhere:
- Anyone moving a full club rig. This is carry-on scale, not flight-case scale.
- Anyone who needs the case now. All three ship December 2026.

Pros & Cons

- Trakpack Roll is sized to the major airlines' carry-on limit and converts to a backpack
- Movable foam dividers mean the bag fits your gear rather than a generic outline
- USB passthrough charges from a power bank without opening the bag
- The two small cases are cut to one device each, so nothing slides
⚠️ Cons:
- All three ship December 2026
- Trakpack Roll starts at 3.95 kg empty, before you put anything in it
- Custom-fit cases fit exactly the device they're named for, and nothing else

Final Thoughts
Cases are boring right up until the moment they aren't. The Trakpack Roll solves the specific problem of arriving at a gate with a bag that's 2 cm too big, and the two shells solve the smaller one of a controller rattling around loose. December is a wait, but pre-ordering is how you make sure the case arrives with the gear rather than a month after the first scratch.
