Built to be seen as much as heard

The cabinet is not a box with a driver in it. Its curve is the acoustic answer to standing waves and diffraction, which is why the LS Luxe can sit in the middle of a room instead of hiding in a rack.

One continuous surface

No visible fixings, no flat baffle. The gloss and satin finishes are applied over a curved shell that keeps the Uni-Q driver at the acoustic centre of the front face.

The engineering behind the curve

Three technologies do the work that a passive pair plus separates would need a shelf of boxes to attempt.

KEF LS Luxe 12th generation Uni-Q driver array

Uni-Q with MAT

A 25 mm vented aluminium dome sits in the acoustic centre of a 165 mm cone, so the stereo image holds across the room rather than at one chair. MAT absorbs 99% of the sound radiating behind the tweeter.

Velocity Control Technology

A closed loop watches the driver in real time and corrects its movement against the signal it was asked to reproduce. The result is bass with unusual grip for a cabinet this size, and lower dynamic distortion.

Current-drive amplification

280 W Class D on the bass and midrange, 100 W Class AB on the treble, in every cabinet. Each driver gets an amplifier matched to it and a crossover handled in DSP rather than passive components.

What it is like to live with

Tuned to your room

The KEF Connect app trims the low end for the wall behind the speakers, so you are not stuck moving furniture to fix the bass.

Every source you use

Streaming services natively, a TV over HDMI eARC, a turntable through the analogue input with a phono stage, a console over optical.

Stereo from one cable

The two cabinets talk to each other wirelessly, or over the supplied interspeaker cable when you want the full 192 kHz link.

Quiet where it matters

MAT turns the energy behind the tweeter into heat instead of letting it colour the midrange, which is what keeps voices clean at volume.

Three finishes, one shape

Every finish is applied to the same curved shell, so the choice is about the room rather than the sound.

Dusk Titanium

A warm champagne gloss that picks up the light in the room. The most sculptural of the three, and the one that reads as an object rather than a speaker.

Eclipse Black

A deep satin black that steps back into a dark room. On stands beside a wall-mounted TV it disappears and leaves only the driver visible.

Mineral White

A clean off-white that sits comfortably on wood and against pale walls. The easiest of the three to place in a bright room.

Questions
How is this different from the LS50 Wireless II?The LS Luxe is a step up rather than a replacement. It adds the sculpted Ross Lovegrove cabinet, patent-pending Velocity Control Technology and current-drive amplification. The LS50 Wireless II stays in the range.
Do I need an amplifier or a streamer? No. Amplification, DAC and network streaming are all inside the cabinets. You need power and a source.
Can I connect a turntable?Yes, through the 3.5 mm analogue input with an external phono stage. There is no phono input built in.
Is Roon supported?Roon Ready certification is planned as a free over-the-air update in 2027.
Are stands included? No. The matching KEF S-Luxe floor stands are a separate purchase.
