KEF LS Luxe – Sculptural wireless hi-fi, fully active

The LS Luxe is a complete stereo system built into two sculpted cabinets: a 12th-generation Uni-Q array, its own current-drive amplification and full network streaming, so nothing sits between the music and the room but a power lead. Shaped with designer Ross Lovegrove, it is made for listeners who want a reference pair to be seen as much as heard, and at Soundium it sits at the top of the KEF LS wireless line.

Key Features

  • 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array: A 25 mm vented aluminium dome sits in the acoustic centre of a 165 mm aluminium cone, so the stereo image holds across the room.
  • Velocity Control Technology: A closed loop watches the driver in real time and corrects its movement, tightening bass and cutting dynamic distortion.
  • MAT metamaterial absorber: Absorbs 99% of the unwanted sound radiating behind the tweeter instead of letting it colour the midrange.
  • Current-drive amplification: 280 W Class D on the bass and midrange, 100 W Class AB on the treble, in every cabinet.
  • HDMI eARC plus full streaming: One cable for the TV, plus AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect and Bluetooth 5.3.
  • Dual subwoofer outputs: Both cabinets carry an RCA sub output, so a stereo pair of subs is a straight cable run away.

Customer Benefits

An active pair removes the guesswork: each driver has an amplifier matched to it, the crossover happens in DSP rather than in passive components, and the Music Integrity Engine keeps timing intact all the way to the cone. You get the performance of a separates system without the shelf of boxes, the interconnects or the matching. Placement is easy too, because Uni-Q keeps the sweet spot wide instead of pinning it to one chair, and the KEF Connect app lets you trim the low end to the wall behind the speakers.

  • 2 m HDMI cable

  • Warranty and safety information

Ideal For

  • A serious two-channel system in a living room that also has to look finished
  • TV and film sound over a single HDMI eARC cable, with subs added later
  • High-resolution streaming from Qobuz, Tidal or a local library, no separates needed

Compatibility

Streams over dual-band Wi-Fi or wired ethernet from AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer and internet radio, with Roon Ready certification expected in 2027 by over-the-air update.

Pros & Cons

✅ Pros:

  • Complete system in two cabinets — no amp, DAC or streamer to buy
  • VECO closed-loop control gives the bass unusual grip for this size
  • HDMI eARC makes it a genuine TV system, not just a music one
  • Sculpted Ross Lovegrove cabinet in three finishes, including a gloss Dusk Titanium

⚠️ Cons:

  • No phono input — a turntable needs an external phono stage into the 3.5 mm aux
  • Streaming quality depends on a solid network; wired ethernet is the safer route
  • Roon Ready is a 2027 software update, not available at launch
  • The matching S-Luxe floor stands are a separate purchase

If you want the performance of a full separates rack from something you would happily put in the middle of the room, the LS Luxe is the shortest path there. Find it in three finishes at Soundium.
