Denon DJ Prime 4 G2 – Four decks, no laptop needed

The Prime 4 G2 is the four-deck standalone system for DJs who build a set rather than just play one. Sixteen MPCe multi-zone pads, onboard Stems rendering and a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen put hot cues, effects, acapellas and lighting under your hands, while four times the processing power of the original Prime 4 keeps the library moving as fast as you do. Soundium ships it with a 3-year warranty.

Key Features

  • 16 MPCe multi-zone pads: Velocity- and pressure-sensitive with 3D-sensing, so one pad holds several functions and parameters at once.
  • Onboard Stems rendering: Split tracks on the unit or pre-render on a computer, then reach for dedicated Instrumental and Acapella buttons, Stem FX and Stem EQ.
  • 8-inch jog wheels with LED displays: Full-size platters with 60-LED RGB arrays showing track and Stems information where you are already looking.
  • Built-in DMX lighting: A 3-pin isolated DMX output plus Engine Lighting onboard drives one universe of 512 channels, Philips Hue and Nanoleaf — no dongle in the signal chain.
  • 10.1-inch HD touchscreen: A 1280×800 optically bonded multi-touch panel for browsing, FX, lighting and mix management.
  • Deep FX section: Two assignable FX toggles with Favorite FX recall, per-channel Sweep knobs, Touch FX, Fader FX, Microphone FX and MPCe FX pad modes.
  • Play from anything: Four USB ports, an SD slot, optional internal SATA drive, Bluetooth 5.4 audio in and Wi-Fi streaming from Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, Beatport, TIDAL, SoundCloud Go+ and Dropbox.

Customer Benefits

Standalone DJing usually costs you either creative depth or setup speed. The Prime 4 G2 gives back both: the eight-core processor renders Stems while you mix instead of making you prepare everything in advance, and the multi-zone pads mean fewer mode changes between a cue, a roll and a lighting cue. Balanced XLR Main, Booth and Zone outputs let you feed a club rig, a booth wedge and a second room from one unit, and the ESS ES9017S DAC keeps that signal clean at up to 119 dB of dynamic range. Pack it down and the whole show fits in one case.

What's in the Box

  • Denon DJ Prime 4 G2
  • Locking IEC power cable
  • USB-C cable
  • 3 × 5 mm mounting screws for an optional internal SATA drive
  • Engine DJ software (download)
  • Quick start guide and safety documentation

Ideal For

  • Club and festival DJs who want four decks and lighting from one console
  • Mobile and wedding DJs running main, booth and a second zone at once
  • Performance DJs working with Stems, hot cues and FX in the same set

Compatibility

Runs standalone on Engine DJ with no computer required; Engine DJ software handles library prep on Mac and Windows. OmniSource hybrid operation with Serato DJ Pro, Algoriddim djay and VirtualDJ is announced by Denon DJ as coming in a future update.

Pros & Cons

  • ✅ Stems rendering runs on the unit — no license fee, no laptop
  • ✅ Multi-zone MPCe pads cut the number of mode switches mid-set
  • ✅ DMX out and Engine Lighting built in, so no separate interface
  • ✅ Three balanced XLR output pairs cover main, booth and a second zone
  • ⚠️ 76 cm wide and 9.9 kg — you will want a flight case, not a backpack
  • ⚠️ Internal SATA drive is not included
  • ⚠️ OmniSource software modes are not live yet at launch

If you have outgrown a two-deck controller and do not want to carry a laptop into the booth, the Prime 4 G2 is the console to build the next few years of sets on. Find the Denon DJ Prime 4 G2 at Soundium, with a 3-year warranty and free returns.
