Experience a faithful recreation of the legendary 1176 Rev-D with the WA76-D2 from Warm Audio, a dual-channel analog FET compressor/limiter. Sporting classic 76-style controls with modern enhancements like three stereo modes, selectable input impedance, and wet/dry mix for parallel compression, the WA76-D2 is ideal for adding polish and dynamic control to vocals and instruments.
The WA76-D2 stereo modes include a stereo linked mode for processing stereo signals, a primary/secondary mode, and a dual-mono mode. With selectable active or true bypass, you can run the unit as a line amplifier (active) or engage in easy A/B comparisons (true bypass). The WA76-D2 includes classic-style analog VU meters with adjustable settings (gain reduction, +8 or +4 dB output). You still get all the classic features you'd expect, including the all-buttons-in setting for experimental or hard-limiter tones. And with a universal internal power supply, the WA76-D2 will operate optimally in any electric environment.

The WA76-D2 is a faithful recreation of the vintage 76 Revision-D-style FET studio compressor with added features to meet modern recording workflows. Recreating the lauded D-style version of the 76 compressor—known for its speed, lower noise, and rich analog tone—the WA76-D2 offers the ideal blend of vintage circuitry and modern controls to deliver ultimate flexibility without sacrificing vintage analog character.
Critical Classic Controls with Modern Enhancements
WA76-D2 delivers vintage circuit design and all of the traditional 76-style compression controls; attack, release, ratio, input, output, and meter display. In addition to the classic controls expected on a 76-style compressor, WA76-D2 has added:
- Internal stereo processing with switchable primary/secondary and dual-mono modes
- Dry/wet mix for parallel compression
- Selectable input impedance
- Active and true bypass
- Variable 12 dB per octave side-chain high-pass filter from 30 to 300 Hz
Custom CineMag Transformers
Just like in the vintage 76-style compressors from revision A to D, the WA76-D2 uses custom large-core CineMag input and output transformers (O-12 and 5002). The transformers inside the WA76-D2 use the exact same spec data and materials used by Reichenbach Engineering in the original vintage designs, known for delivering rich analog tone to any signal chain.
Premium Components and Accurate Circuitry
WA76-D2 uses premium ceramic and electrolytic capacitors, metal film resistors, and a revised preamp stage, improving the linear response of the FET. The audio signal path is 100% discrete analog with a 600-ohm input impedance attenuator and a Class-A line-level output amplifier. These key components complete a circuit that cuts no corners in delivering an authentically clean, low-noise 76-style compression experience.
