The Big Muff Pi 2 with Tone Wicker revives the rare 1970s op-amp Big Muff circuit and hands the player two switches to reshape it on the fly. Built for guitarists who want the wall-of-fuzz sustain the Big Muff is known for, plus a brighter, more aggressive side when a track needs to cut. A New York City original, now at Soundium.

  • Op-amp Big Muff Pi 2 circuit: Two dual op-amps deliver the crunchy, mid-forward voice of the 70s op-amp Muff.
  • Tone switch: Flick the tone control out of the path for a broadband, unfiltered Big Muff slam.
  • 3-position Wicker switch: Opens high-frequency filters for raspy, defined, more open sustain — full, half, or off.
  • Volume, Tone, Sustain controls: Set output, voicing, and the depth of the fuzz to taste.
  • True bypass: Keeps your dry signal intact when the pedal is off.
  • Latching or momentary footswitch: Lock the effect on, or stab it in for short bursts.

Customer Benefits

One pedal covers a lot of fuzz ground. Leave both switches off and you get the classic, scooped Big Muff sustain that sits behind a vocal or carries a lead. Engage the Tone switch and the sound widens into a thick, full-range roar. Add the Wicker filters and the top end opens up so single notes and chords stay defined through a dense mix. The latching/momentary footswitch lets you hold the fuzz for a whole solo or drop it in for a single accent.
